It may still seem a little while off, but it’s time to start planning the Festive Seasonal Mini Sessions and I’m super excited for them, firstly because I love London at that time of year (well, I love it in all seasons, but I particularly love it at Christmas) and also because I had such a great time shooting the summer mini sessions (which will at some point end up on the blog, but blogging has got a little behind at the moment!)

 

Whereas the summer sessions were over two days, this year I’m only doing the one day of Festive Mini Shoots as the diary is just a little bit packed, so if you’re wanting a festive mini shoot, then the 16th November is the date for your diary.  There will be six mini brand shoots in three different locations, carefully selected for their festive-ness.  The shoots are 30 minutes and cost £175.

Covent Garden has a special festive place in my heart, as it’s where my own winter brand images were taken!  The market is beautifully decorated, there’s that HUGE Christmas tree, and often a Christmas installation or two.  Then there is also all the lights along the strand which look fabulous, so this is where I’ll be starting!

Now, Mayfair is quite a big area, but in it I’m including the gorgeous decorated stores/buildings, and stretching over to Annabel’s and New Bond Street where iconic Christmas images usually grace your instagram!

What happens next?

Once you’ve booked in your date, you’ll be sent an invoice (full fee is £175) and contract, this needs to be signed and the £75 deposit paid within 48 hours to secure your place, if not I’ll need to release the date back to the wait list.

Once the paper work side is sorted, you’ll be send a mini shoot guide to help you prepare for your shoot as well as a questionnaire which will help me get to know your brand and choose the best locations within your chosen area for your shoot, to best represent your brand on the day.

The final balance is due 1 month before the shoot and you’ll be sent a reminder 2 weeks before that due date.

How many photos will I get?

I don’t cap the number of images I provide on a shoot, but as a rule of thumb, a 30 minute shoot can result in 15+ images, with a mixture of portrait and landscape so that they are versatile for your marketing needs.

Can my team / business partner be involved in the shoot?

I know a few people have asked if they can bring others along, absolutely, but given the time restraints of a mini shoot, this is capped at 2 additional people (so 3 in total).

If you have more people than this, then the mini shoot isn’t the best option for you, but if you’d like to book a call in to chat about one of my regular brand shoots that would be more suited, you can do so by booking a call here

 

 

What happens if the weather is bad?

As these shoots are also all outside we are at the whim of the weather a little, but remember these are Winter mini sessions, so as long as it’s not throwing it down with rain, the shoots will still be going ahead.  So wrap up warm and if it’s a little drizzly, I’ll find some sheltered areas and it’s worthwhile bringing a brolly!  If the shoots do get rained off, then the back up date is the 19th November

What if I can no longer make the shoot?

Seasonal Mini Shoots are held on specific days and times, and in specific locations, because of this, if you can no longer attend the shoot, the shoot fee is still due unless someone else is able to fill the spot that you have booked.

When will I get the photos?

Given that these images are going to look festive, you will have these images by the end of November, ready for your December marketing / posting to commence.  Once they are ready you will be sent a link to your own personal gallery where you can download the images in both high resolution (perfect for printing) and web resolution (perfect for online use). I would highly recommend downloading the full gallery in both sizes and to a back up device, as after 6 months the gallery will expire and you will no longer be able to access the images.
