London Mini Shoot With Wedding Planner Natasha

UK Brand Shoots

Hello!

I know Spring was a long time ago, but I just had to introduce you to Natasha from Pearline Events as we had so much fun on her mini shoot and were blessed with what I think was the last remaining blossom tree in London, the perfect shade for her brand!  So let’s dive in and get to know her more…

What first got you into your field?

I had planned events for family and friends for years. I had been considering getting into wedding planning for ages but I didn’t know how to start and was scared. After my son was born (as I was coming to the end of my maternity leave) amongst the baby bottles, changing nappies and lack of sleep, I got that feeling that it was time to take that leap to launch my business!
I plucked up the courage and launched Pearline Events and I have not looked back. I am delighted that I took that step, I love what I do.

What’s your favourite thing about the work that you do?

My favourite thing is the couples that I meet, learning about their love story and then seeing them tie the knot, after months of planning. It’s a joy! I love that no wedding is the same too.

What is a ‘reality’ of your work that other people don’t realise?

It’s not just the work that I do on the actual wedding day. There is SO much work happening behind the scenes months and months before from the design to sourcing the right suppliers, planning the logistics and all the styling. Sometimes I have been working with my couples for 6-12 months beforehand and get to know them so well. Then you have one day to bring all their vision together beautifully, it can be very intense yet so worth it!

“I had a slight concern about whether I would know how to pose on the day or if it would look forced or unnatural. I had nothing to worry about you completely put me at ease and told me how to pose and where, I felt very comfortable in your presence and it all went so quickly.

The images look so natural and you got me smiling too in most of them. I found the whole experience fun and enjoyable. The whole shoot was a pleasant experience. I loved the location that you selected, which worked so well with my brand.

My favourite part of the shoot was discovering the blossom tree in full bloom around the corner, that was pretty special and made for great images.

I would highly recommend Amanda. She will make you feel so relaxed whilst capturing your images. She is a fantastic photographer, who took the time to understand me and my business. Her images are excellent and have captured my personality brilliantly, they are so engaging, professional and on brand. I have received many compliments about the photos she took. The shoot was so worthwhile and I would not hesitate to book another one in the near future.”

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? (can be on anything!)

To always keep learning. It’s important to keep pushing yourself and your brain to develop new skills. This advice was given to me in my 20’s and I have always remembered it. Each year I try and learn something new, it keeps things fresh and interesting.

What’s your cocktail / mocktail of choice?

I do enjoy a cocktail. I am usually drawn to rum-based cocktails. A Mai Tai a gorgeous mixture of dark rum, Curaçao liqueur, orgeat syrup, and lime juice is my first choice. Delicious!
