So today I wanted to share the first brand shoot I did with Maxine Wilson Hair & Makeup as part of her Seasonal Edit package. We spent some time planning what we wanted to achieve from the shoot and knew how we’d maximise the time we had. In short, we wanted to create images of Maxine behind the scenes so that brides could get a sense of what it would be like to work with Maxine. So we wanted to portray the calming sense she has about her, as well as her experience in creating beautiful natural and elegant looks for the big day.
We also wanted to create some images of Maxine out and about in her village, especially as the autumnal colours were setting in, so we bundled up and off we went. In fact, I’m looking forward to going back next month and adding in some family photos to tell the story even more of who the face behind the brand is.
The final element of the shoot was to create images that aligned with the blog plan, and this is such a fantastic way to plan your shoot and make the best use of your images. If you know what content you’re planning to put out there for your business over the next 3-6 months, then you can work out what kind of images will illustrate those blogs and social media posts. Meaning then you can just pop them in when the time comes to publish it.
It’s one of the reasons I love working with brands over a prolonged period, I get a real buzz out of getting to know their brand and being able to create imagery that really showcases their business and personality. Helping my brand clients elevate their business through their photography is why I do what I do.
I’d love to work with you and your brand, let’s have a chat to see how we can work together!
Until next time,
