A huge part of brand photography, is really getting to understand the inner workings of a business and how that business owner helps and works with their clients.  And this Cardiff brand shoot with the incredible Louise from Bolivar Fertility was a shoot very close to my heart and our own fertility journey.  Seeing the care, passion and dedication Louise gives to her couples wanting to be parents was so reassuring and I knew deep down how important that connection is, and how daunting a process it can be.  So, capturing Louise’s kind nature as well as her professionalism and how she works with her clients was or paramount importance.

Now, unlike a London brand shoot where the streets of London are my usual playground, a Cardiff brand shoot was a bit of an unknown, it had been a long time since I’d lived there and a lot had changed.  But thanks to the joys of technology and social media, along with the planning call I have with all my clients, between us we were able to plan and map out the perfect Cardiff brand shoot for Louise, starting with her fertility clinic, before moving on home and a local greengrocer to create some images regarding the importance of nutrition and the body as part of the fertility journey.  And in-between we shot those all-important portraits for PR features and the About Page section of her newly developing website.
