Hello!
Another throw back to New York and this time with the fabulous Natalie Potts who is a force to be reckoned with – she’s business savvy, gets results, works hard and is so kind and fun – the full package! I loved getting to know Natalie in the run up to her shoot and I can’t wait for you to get to know her a bit more too…
I love business and developing people. When I was climbing the corporate ladder, I recognised my ability to see talent in others and explored coaching so I could grow as a strong leader and more empathetic person. Over the years I connected the dots, won CPD Coach of the Year award at the International Coaching Awards and brought my love of strategy and driving business forward to get results and since qualified a a strategist.
I make the rules. Having your own business brings a sense of freedom that the corporate world no longer brought me. In business, my intention is solely focussed on my client and ensuring I deliver in line with my values.
Business is simple but not easy. Most business owners who have great potential are challenged not due to their business acumen but their mindset. If you truly want to create and build a sustainable business, you have to tap into the reality that you are always working on your mindset.
“I’ve done a few shoots now – some fitness, branding and lifestyle. I’ve often found them quite full on and not enjoyed them as much as I have wanted to so I was very keen that I enjoyed the experience.
NYC was definitely more than likely going to be a one off opportunity so I wanted to enjoy it, whilst focus on making it great. It was great fun… you listened to what I wanted to create and we went with the flow – it is when we tend to be at our best.
Our Central Park location was great… although to some it may look like any park, it meant many things to me for different reasons so as much as it has a purpose in line with my branding, it was great to be in the moment of having a shoot in a place I had thought would be amazing for many years.
Be clear on what you want to get from the experience. Align it to your business so the narrative makes sense to your ideal client and have fun! Business is way too serious and boring… enjoy being the centre of attention.”
Do what you love – trust your intuition. I think we could all take value in trusting ourselves so much more than we do in business for fear of judgement, failure and even success.

These images were taken as part of a retreat in New York, where attendees could add on a shoot to create images that aligned with their brand – something that is really important if you’re scaling your business. So if you’re running a retreat, are you offering this simple but effective level up for your clients? Let’s chat more!
