Hello!
This shoot feels quite fitting to be sharing this week now that the weather is turning – but would you believe that these misty New York images were actually taken in June, when it should have been glorious weather! Anyway, Claire was an absolute super star and embraced the weather and I love the images we created together. So, it’s time for you to get to know her too….
In my corporate background I became very aware of how the internet was shaping the future of business, in terms of how they operated, but also from a marketing point of view. I just found it fascinating.
I love being able to identify the gap between where a business currently is and what they need to do to achieve their goals. Creating a strategy, implementing that strategy and then seeing my clients achieve the results that they desire. There’s no feeling quite like it.
That us SEO’s don’t all sit in our back bedrooms with the curtains closed, eating pizza with our belly’s hanging out. Seriously though, it’s much less techy and geeky than people realise.
“I’m not exactly used to being in front of the camera, and so before the shoot I spoke to Amanda on a call and she put me at ease, explaining exactly what would happen. Probably just the walking and chatting, I don’t think I am quite ready to say I like have my photo taken. That said Amanda and Paula made it as stress free as it could be. She’s lovely, professional but very down to earth. I’m using them across social media at the moment and they’ll also go on my new website. I think it’s important for an online business to be open and honest and part of that is imagery.”
Go with your gut. Every time through my 16 years in business that I’ve ignored it it’s ended in disaster. In my business we work closely with our clients and so that human connection side is so important. If I don’t feel like I gel well with the potential client, I just won’t work with them.
Oh my this is a tricky one! There are so many to choose from and I do love a cocktail. I guess if I had to choose one i’d go for a mojito, but made with vodka and loads of mint and lime.

These shoots were taken as part of Lisa Johnson’s Destination Inspiration Retreat, but you know me, I’ll travel anywhere that my camera will take me so if you fancy your own destination brand shoot or if you are running a retreat and want to capture it and give your clients the opportunity to have their own brand images then let’s chat!
