London Brand Shoot for Cake Maker and Business Coach Annie Bennett

Today I’m bringing you the shoot of a truly fabulous business coach and cake maker who I had the pleasure of working with. She not only creates the most beautiful wedding cakes, but she also coaches other cake makers to build a successful business, has published several books to help those cake makers and has a subscription box – oh, and on top of all that she is an extremely talented opera singer (which of course we bought into her shoot because her cake business is called Leading Lady Cakes.

So let’s get to know Annie Bennett…

What first got you into your field?

I decided, after nearly 30 years of primary teaching, that I needed to start something new.

What’s your favourite thing about the work that you do?

Creating beautiful wedding cakes.

What is a ‘reality’ of your work that other people don’t realise?

Wedding cake bakers are booked up way in advance, sometimes years. I sometimes get asked for a cake for within the following week… usually, it just can’t be done!

“I was worried that I’d be nervous, and my face wouldn’t look natural… forced smiles and all that. I felt so relaxed right from the start that didn’t happen at all. My favourite part was wearing my Leading Lady dress that I’d made specially, and with the hair and makeup too, I felt fabulous!

The images have upped my engagement. I’ve used them on everything… including website and blog posts, and as a result, everything just looks spot-on professional.”
