Diversity and Inclusion
In both business and in our personal lives we are committed to recognise and uphold the rights of all individuals to mutual respect and to accept others without bias or judgement of differences of any kind.
A diverse world is a better world and we look both within our business and to those we work with to respect all individuals, their traditions, heritages and experiences
We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals. We pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages, and experiences.
Within our business we are committed to continuing our Anti Racism education, knowing that as a white owned and run business there is work to be done. This also includes learning how we can better understand all aspects of this diverse world we live in.
Resources that we are thankful to be learning from include Nova Reid, Rachel Cargle, Stephanie Yeboah and LGBTQ+ Equality Weddings

Plastic Free
Whilst in the branding photography business we don’t send or receive many parcels, as an overall photography brand which includes our wedding photography business, we strive to be plastic free. Our packaging is UK sourced, from companies with checked eco credentials. All packaging is recyclable and often using recycled materials.

Again, this is mirrored in our personal life too with reducing the amount of plastic packaging we use/purchase. Opting to use more reusable containers/bags and assessing the products we use for the animal wellbeing policies.

Carbon Offset
As of 2021 all travel both personally and on behalf of the business we will be offsetting our carbon footprint and supporting climate projects through the app Ecologi (this is a referral link, meaning if you sign up via this link an additional 30 trees is planted).

Once we reach the end of 2021, we’ll publish our progress so far.

Supporting Causes
For every client that books with us, we will be donating a proportion of the profits across both AKP Branding Stories and Amanda Karen Photography to the following charities:

Help for Heroes
The Runnymede Trust
MacMillan Nurses
Mind
World Wild Fund (WWF)

It’s hard to narrow down which charities to give to, so each year we will revisit the list and update if things change.
